Phyliss Doane

NEJ UMW President

United Methodist Women has shaped my life.  I have grown in spirit, learned to be a leader and been able to do mission locally, state-wide and nationally.  During my time as a UMWomen, I realize that God chose me to work with the least of them by visiting prisoners.  I have been corresponding with prisoners for 25 years by phone, letter and visits. leadership teams supporting women who have a person incarnated. The witnesses tears my heart out and I know that I’m following God’s plan.

Sharon Noisette

NEJ UMW Vice President

United Methodist Women is by far the most spiritually enriching and grounding experience I have ever encountered.  It has changed my approach toward life.  The very things I thought I could not do, I’ve been empowered to do by being a part of the organization.  It forces me to step out of my comfort zone and roll up my sleeves to do something and make a difference.

Tammy Verity

Nominations Committee

I am a member of the Upper New York Conference.  I enjoy reading, scrapbooking and spending time with my family. Our theme “A Fresh Wind Blowing” (based on John 3:8) gives us a fresh start in our life of faith. Bringing in new people of all ages gives our faith a mixture of exciting traditions and fresh ideas. This will unite us in faith and practice as Christians.
