 Friday, June 17, 2016

Ubuntu (/ʊˈbuːntʊ/ uu-boon-tuu; Zulu pronunciation: [ùɓúntʼú])[2][3] is a Nguni Bantu term roughly translating to "human kindness."

Ubuntu Journeys are short term mission-learning opportunities that give members of the United Methodist Women opportunities to interact with the world through mission partners.  On these journeys, women of faith come together through shared mission to address social issues and discover new ways of working together, supporting one another and growing spiritually.

           Limitless
     Milennium Woman?

Limitless, Redefine Tomorrow is a young woman’s initiative established in August 2012 to equip young women of faith to transcend barriers and to do justice in communities by putting faith, hope, and love into action. Rooted in Esther 4:14, the campaign targets 14-40 year olds and is focused on social justice, leadership opportunities, group activities, social networking, alternative gathering locations/engagement times, less meetings, less agendas--more doing, and and more sharing of ideas. Limitless, Redefine Tomorrow is using a mentorship model to help young women embody the purpose of United Methodist Women and to create a network of young women leaders who will be actively engaged today and beyond..

Days for Girls International (DFG)

What if not having sanitary hygiene products meant missing 5 DAYS of school or 5 days of isolation?

We are partnering with DfG in their mission to create a world where “Every girl. Everywhere. Period” can have access to reusable and sustainable sanitary hygiene products and health education. This is an issue that unifies all women—a partnership between UMW and DfG is a powerful one that can help remove barriers to girls attending school and finishing their education. When girls and women are educated and empowered they can provide for their families, and they can be strong leaders in their communities for today, tomorrow, and the future.

Remember to stop by the Limitless Mission Table to support the Day for Girls Project and find out more about NEJ Limitless units
